Lady Jess
For the most part, I think I'm the kind of person who states what they believe, but also expresses equality in that others believe differently.  I'm not going to say that they are 'wrong' or 'being led astray' or say something in regards to their religion like 'whatever makes you happy'.  We don't know what the truth is.  We may feel in our soul that our religion is 'the right one', but the fact is, we don't really have any physical evidence to this or the contrary.  As long as what you do does not infringe on another person's freedom or the law you can do what you please.

I recently had to put a friendship to a stop because they did something I didn't feel comfortable with.  I believe that I do see their reasoning to why they thought what they did was no big deal, however, I did not feel okay with it; therefore I withheld myself from that relationship.  I did not want to be staring at that elephant in the room for the duration of my time with them and I did not want them to go all out covering that elephant with the contents of their linen closet just to make me happier.

They were understanding and very gracious towards me and my decision and I wish them their share of the world's happiness, but I needed to depart.  I hope that they will find more people who share their interests and I also pray that I will find others whose interests are more similar to mine.

What do you think?  Have you had to put an end to a relationship?  Why and did it end well?
